Mami Mess (iyer Mess) - Mannargudi

We were on a family trip around of 20 persons to our native temple near Mannargudi.. We called Mami Mess and informed we need lunch next day for 20 persons, and we will there by 2.00pm but due to rain and road conditions we were able to reach only by 3.00pm.. which is their closing time but they were very courteous to receive us and requested us to wait for 10mts by that time they prepared the items whichever is short and served us hot meals...the owner was very kind and came to each one of us and checked what we needed...even though the place is very old..which they are planning to move to new bigger place, taste is good and all the staff were very kind.. Thanks to the entire team.

Their food is too homely and taste too good. They serve unlimited meals with sambhar, vattha kuzhambu, rasam, Kootu, poriyal, buttermilk and Appalam (papad) which they serve how many times we asked @just 70 rs and charge 10rs extra if we need curd instead of buttermilk. Ambience was little bit bad but their food and service was rewarding !!

Great Awesome breakfast in the morning, good lunch in the afternoon, i am only disappointed that they don't serve dinner

Update 4th May 2019 No more of in staff fighting. Breakfast and lunch are apparently being prepared by different master chefs, because breakfast is okayish, while lunch is homely and very tasty. Vathak kuzhambu is delicious, deep fried appalams unlimited, buttermilk (mor) available to one's satisfaction. Rs 70 for unlimited meal, Rs 10 extra for curd (yoghurt). Courteous staff. You have to dispose your own banana leaf after eating. Quite crowded till 3 PM, closed on Sundays and official holidays. No dinner. No coffee or tea. 29th April, 2021 5 star rating. Additional bonus Lip smacking payasam served with lunch every Friday, at no extra cost!

Parcel is very Bad...no payasam,salt,butter milk,papet not satisfied on food....
