On the plus side, my breakfast sandwich was excellent, with the egg, bacon, cheese, aioli, and caramelized onions all blending beautifully together. The margherita pizza had fresh mozzarella and toppings, although its thin crust felt more like flatbread. Lastly, our son's French toast was fluffy and generously portioned. In the end, we enjoyed the food, but the poor service was a significant source of frustration, especially since we had to keep a close eye on our toddler's schedule.
I ordered the watermelon margarita and tuna poke, and both were fantastic! We visited on a Sunday afternoon, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. While the service wasn't poor, I wouldn't describe it as exceptional either. The staff was friendly and helpful, but not particularly attentive. If you're looking for a quick meal, this might not be the best option.
We attended the Dina Around LA event at this restaurant and were greeted warmly by the staff. The outdoor terrace is lovely, featuring great lighting that strikes the perfect balance—not too sunny, just the right amount for a delightful brunch. Plus, there’s a nice ocean breeze. We started off with some appetizers: crispy calamari and Margherita pizza. The pizza boasted a fresh-tasting sauce and mozzarella cheese, while the calamari had the ideal crispiness and flavor.
Fantastic food and excellent service! If you enjoy mimosas, you definitely have to try their unlimited mimosa option. My favorite flavor is the lavender. The food is also exceptional. Plus, the outdoor patio is dog-friendly, which is a nice bonus. I can't wait to return for dinner!
This is a wonderful spot to enjoy brunch outdoors on a lovely day. However, be aware that the Metlox plaza seating area can get quite hot. While it's not the cheapest brunch option around, the flavors are very satisfying. The avocado toast topped with two perfectly cooked over-easy eggs was delightful. My frittata was decent but nothing out of the ordinary, although the accompanying fruit was a nice touch. Our waitress was juggling multiple tables and we really appreciated her effort. We visited on a day when they had a special brunch event featuring a magician who performed right at our table—definitely added value to the somewhat pricey meal. Parking can be a challenge, so I recommend using the underground parking structure. In short: a fancy, somewhat pricey brunch that’s worth the experience.
