I have been to Guthu a number of times. The food which we get here is an authentic Mangalorean food. Yesterday I went with my family . We ordered Chicken Manchow soup, Non Veg Platter, Chicken Ghee Roast, Chicken Tunday Kabab, Chinese Choupsey, American Choupsey and Marwai Pundi. All the items were very good. The waiter was also quick. But Neer Dosa was not available with them which we missed it.Taste 4.5/5Ambience 4/5Value for money 4/5
Have been here on two occasions. One for a dinner with friend and other a team party. This might be a good place to go to with a bunch of people. The rooftop had a nice ambience with shacky decor , the rooftop is spacious but was poorly lit. <br/ <br/ This is place is known for its authentic local cuisine. It might not be a great idea to order non indian food. My experience had not been great with it.
This is one of the best rooftop restaurant which I ever visited in mangalore. The food was so delicious. This restaurant is situated just near to platinum theatre opposite to Indira hospital. The food which they are providing is too tasty and mouth watering. Even I will give 5/5 for the ambience and the service. We feel like we are in a traditional village once we are in this restaurant. Also, the rate is not much higher comparing to the facilities and the ambience which they are providing, The staffs was too polite and well trained. They know how to handle the customers well. The main thing I noticed is that this is a family restaurant in which all the family members can enjoy their lunch or dinner. Even they use to serve the liquor as well like a wine and dine.<br/ <br/ Kudos to the entire team
Ambience : The place is very family friendly as it is on a roof top and also features plenty of space for kids to run around (they also have a play area with toys . It's done up with traditional artifacts from coastal homes, give them a dekko!<br/ <br/ The menu features usual Indian fare with a bit of Indo chinese thrown in; a standard mix of dishes that you'd typically find. Pricing is moderate, not too heavy on the pocket. <br/ <br/ Taste: The food is tasty, we found it a bit too spicy for our liking though. One thing I'd like to mention is that their chef who makes the Chinese fare was never available, so they never had any Chinese items (read schezwan noodles, gobi manchurian... whenever I visited. (I don't know if he's back yet. <br/ <br/ Service leaves a bit to be desired. We'd asked for our food to be parceled at the end of the meal, never got it. I think they were in too much of a hurry and threw it out...
