Randy's City Cafe - Malvern

I really enjoyed my first visit. I was looking for a casual place where I could sit and feel at home. And this was definitely the right place. It is anything but fancy, which is great for me. I really didn't want to worry about my jeans and old t-shirt style if I didn't have to. There were a couple of groups of what was obviously, regulars enjoying food and conversation. It made the perfect background setting for relaxing. The server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, which had a great selection and a good price. They got the coffee and water to me really quickly, took my order, and had the food out in a flash. The portion size was spot on, and the food tasted fresh. The servers checked on my regularly and offered to refill my coffee several times. And , although I did have a specific server, both the servers worked together to make sure I (and everyone else) was taken care of. This was a very pleasant visit for me and I will definitely be back next chance I get.

No wonder this place is up for sale. The food isn't really that good and they are in interested in a customer base. They close right during the most important time of the day for an eat-in restaurant. Lunch and Dinner and weekends are the busiest part of the food serving industries profit-making day, both which they fail to open. They fail to be open when people want to eat out, I fail to want to do business with them and the food isn't that great when they are open. Out of a can flavor at best.

Great for home cooking. Love the catfish. Worth the price.
