D'amore's Famous Pizza - Malibu

The owner is super wheel, friendly, welcoming! The pizza was moist!!! (This means good for you Boomer) PRO LIFE TIP: Order You house tiramisu!! I'm going to stop here when I get to Malibu!

This review is for the pizza which is always amazing. I have gotten the fresh garlic in the past but today we ordered half pepperoni and half grilled veggies which was amazing as well. Next time I will ask again for fresh garlic but still so delicious!!

Very good pizza, fresh toppings and the crust is fantastic. Everything is made to order!

Really poor service at the Point Dune D'amores, ordered 4 slices of pizza to stay on plates this afternoon. I was told it would be ready in 10 minutes, after 20 minutes I asked if they are ready, girl behind the counter called back for them and said a few more minutes. 5 minutes later she gave me the 4 slices (2 specialty slices looked as if they threw some toppings on old cheese pizza), barely warm, hard and dry/old looking, in a box without plates (for $20 see attached picture). I could've just ordered a fresh pizza. I complained, the girl behind the counter just said they warm up pizza that is already 80% done, then why take 25 minutes?! She didn't seem to care at all, no customer service skills, especially since she is the one who told us 10 minutes and took nearly a half hour to deliver. Though it was clearly old reheated pizza, it did taste good. We will try their pizza again, just at another location.

This place is tiny, with outdoor table and chairs only in the courtyard of the Plaza. After I grew up in a pizza shop, I had great hopes for this place. Overall the pizza lacks taste. The sauce, the cheese and even the crust were just normal. Nothing to write home. I love a nice pizza crust, this dough is easier than usual for a pizza. Also very expensive!! I almost had a cow when he said $60 for a 12 special pizza, 2 slices regular pizza and a small slice of cake. No drinks. $60! So my expectations were somewhat higher as I expected an amazing pizza, but unfortunately nothing special about it.
