Gout et Saveurs - Magog

We make our way back from quebec city to massachusetts we in magog through the chance to eat a bite and stumbled on this beautiful place. Our meal was modest – suppen and brot, but the eating was smart, creatiw and delicious, like the rose. and coffee. the host was gracious, welcoming and patient with my limited French. we enjoyed a really relaxing and high-quality lunch.

Great food, amazing food, this is a place that needs to be discovered, desserts, special occasions ... must try!

We were spending the saturday in Orford-Magog to enjoy the bright colours of the local foliage and had spotted this restaurant's website. The menu was very tempting so we tried it. We loved it! We tried 4 different dishes and they were all excellent (lamb...Navarrin, beef tartare, salad with salmon and pink grapefruit etc), Same thing for the homemade pies (tarte tatin and lemon pie both delicious). It was French cuisine at its best. Surely a place to recommend when you're in Magog and they're catering as well.

We are a very nice lunch (they only offer lunchtime their main business is catering.) we had the table d’hôte. the owners are a very nice and friendly French couple. homemade sauces and jams. highly recommended.

A part of our wine and food tasting brochure (coupons,) that was bought this year went for a late lunch and asked if the tasting was still available. Marie-Claire (owner) advised us that it was a little late, but after checkout with chef junit, struck a duck feuilleté/cook salad with our tasting. rehearsals served as entré wow' (splendid salmond gravlax,duck terrine.) during our meal, charming Marie-Claire with us over many interesting themes. for dessert, she suggested a piece of apple tatin pie or caramelized mandelkuchen, we shave one of each....with an allongé espresso mmmm! please take a moment to discover this place when on mainstreet magog, they will not regret.
