You know when you stay somewhere and think, These people really know how to do their job! When you feel welcomed and pampered, but without feeling asphyxiated by too much attention, when the details are taken care of but in a homely way enough to make you feel at ease, as if you had always lived in that room, as if you had always had dinner in that cuisine, good but not pretentious, as if your mother had prepared that dinner. I stayed at the Borgo Antico during the Cammino di Oropa and I really recommend it!

I stayed here during my Cammino di Oropa della Serra. Spacious rooms, equipped with every essential comfort. Convenient bar service with tables outside. Decent three-course dinner with advantageous prices for pilgrims. The breakfast offer should be reviewed, which is limited to rusks and dry biscuits and does not include any fresh local products with the exception of an apple pie. In my opinion the quality/price ratio is lower than average but as there are no other accommodation options in Magnano I believe there is every margin to improve the welcome in this structure to which I would gladly return.

Faccio fatica a trovare le parole per esprimere quanto ci siamo trovati bene a pranzare in questa locanda, incastonata nel delizioso borgo piemontese di Magnano. La qualità del cibo è ottima e, a maggior ragione in proporzione ad essa, i prezzi sono onestissimi, a malapena abbiamo speso 50 euro per un antipasto, due primi, un secondo, un dolce, grappa, vino, caffé e coperto. Deliziosi i tomini del canavese con marmellata di pomodori verdi, molto buono l’arrosto di fassona e il risotto con gli asparagi…beh, penso sia il più buono che abbia mai mangiato! Molto gradevole anche il crème caramel declinato all’amaretto, che risulta fresco senza addolcire eccessivamente il palato. Una meta assolutamente da segnare per pranzare in occasione di qualche gita in zona.
