It's a very pleasant little restaurant but the quality of food was not up to par. The salads are tiny. Optically, food was decent, the service was pleasant, but it lacked joy. Some food you take a bite out of and your tongue perks ups,...and your senses awaken but not here. I really wanted to like it because it's situated in the beautiful State Park but maybe I'll just have a drink the next time I am there.
Le Frog is one pf those ülaces I frequemtöy visit when I am in tje town of Magdeburg because the prices are reasonable compared to other central restaurants, the staff is friendly, the food is just yummy, and the environment is mostly green and quit...:
We’d heard about this place with the unusual name situated in a beautiful park at some distance from the old part of town. By tram and a nice walk we arrived at a very full restaurant, but the friendly and helpful staff found us a...table at the window. Since we had arrived a bit too late for lunch and too early for dinner, we tried the desserts: the cakes tasted homemade and were very rich. We were able to read about the history of the park and the attractions (man-made island with temple, boat trips, children’s playground) around the airy bistro. The only thing we didn’t find out was the reason for the name. We could see both the park and the little lake from our window seats as well as the Albinmüller Turm, which provided us then with the necessary exercise to burn off the calories we’d enjoyed during our hour at the Le Frog.
This nice brasserie is tucked away inside the city park in Magdeburg. With very green and lush surroundings. The place is nicely decorated and has a varied menu ranging from light snacks to proper dining along with coffee, ice creams and desserts. Definitely worth a...try.
