On June 27th my fifth novel, Foxden Hotel, was launched with a tea party at the fabulous 1940s Cafe, Back In Time For Tea, on the Leicester Road, in Lutterworth. The food was lovely and there was plenty of it. The ladies who served us couldn't have done more to make the launch go smoothly, and the atmosphere was perfect. Journalist Andrew Carpenter joined us for tea and took some lovely photographs. One was in the Rugby Advertiser. Thank you Anna and the ladies who work at, Back In Time For Tea, you made the lauch very special.
A great venue with wonderful caring staff.Highly recommend it for afternoon tea.
Had a lovely lunch, I really enjoyed myself surrounded by 1940s memorabilia, it brought back lots of wonderful memories. Thank you ladies for making my day.
I love this place. A real hidden gem in the most unlikely of places but also makes sense being attached to an Army Surplus store. It does make you want to dress up as one of the Andrews Sisters and put victory rolls in your hair. Cosy and welcoming and a real step back in time. Great home made cakes and fantastic service. Just fabulous.
