Hôtel Restaurant Le Rivage - Lutry

We had lunch on a sunny day on the patio. it was not crowded and calm. The service was relatively friendly a little bit short when we tried to figure out what we wanted. The decided for the "filets de perch". And we had several option besides the traditional french fries, which in my opinion does not really go with the delicacy of the fish. The meal was very good, even the size was on the small side. The price was average for this type of meal.

I had a birthday lunch lately at the restaurant du Rivage. The terrace is marvelous with a great view on Lake Geneva and the French Alps. There is a small road between the Restaurant /Hotel but it is closed to traffic except for local residents on the road which are quite few. The prices are not cheap but not that expensive for what they offer. Service is friendly and not too fast (you dont want super fast service when you are enjoying the food and surroundings anyway, so just perfect) Staff was very attentive. I have visited the hotel before and know they have great rooms with beautiful views.

Great food and service and they totally get gluten- and dairy-free and will make changes to menu items if they can. Just book a table ahead ... they can be a little snippy if you walk in without one and they are busy.

Really loved this place!! Beautiful view, friendly staff :) I will come back, this time for longer !

Had dinner on the terrace, enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the spicy (on request) steak tartar. My friends enjoyed the fillets of perch, which disappointingly are now imported. This brought back memories from 50 years ago when we last reunited on this terrace, which has changed little. The view is breathtaking. Service was professional and attentive.
