Bushmead Fish - Luton

This chip shop is fantastic! I had a delicious spam fritter and chips at a very reasonable price. The chips were cooked perfectly and tasted fresh. The fritter was also perfect. The person working behind the counter deserves more than just a maximum 5-star rating.

The fries are tasty, the employees appear welcoming, and the fish is delicious.

I’ve been getting a sausage and chips from here most weeks since it was taken over. The chips are the best around. They are cooked in small amounts so not left in the drainer. You have to wait a few minutes but worth the wait. On Friday I went for a piece of Cod. I’ve got to say, it was one of best bits of fish I’ve had. My favourite chippy is in Weymouth, but this was on par. Big flakes of fish and batter wasn’t greasy at all. Would highly recommend and just wished I’d taken a photo!

The chips and sausage batter were extremely unappetizing. The curry sauce didn't even resemble curry, it looked as if someone had vomited.

For the many months I have been popping into Bushmead fish bar for myself and sometimes for a neighbour as well. The Haddock is excellent, chips are lovely too.
