Vera's White Sands Beach Club - Lusby

Celebrated my birthday here yesterday and was really impressed! First, our waitress Carrie, was excellent. She was very attentive and made great recommendations from the menu. Second, the food was delicious! The crab cake is no joke all meat,no fillers! And, those who had the fish chips really enjoyed them. I had the fried oysters and they were tasty but wish theyhad been fried a little bit lighter. Third, the atmosphere was lovely. The only recommendation I have to make the experienceeven better is to add more selections to the dessert menu. They only have 2 cake choices coconut and cookies n' cream. Someice cream and key lime pie would be nice???? This tropical themed joint on the water is the perfect setting to chill and relax.

This place is great. Let’s start with the staff. They are the best. You feel like it’s family waiting on you. Second the food is great. The view is the best. The crabs are the best in the area but get your order in early. When they are thisgood and big everyone wants them so they go fast.

My family and I went to Vera's over the weekend, and we were not impressed. We called ahead and asked if we needed reservations since there were a decent number of us and were told no. When we got there, they had no tables available for a party of oursize, and said they could seat us outside (in the sun). Once we were seated, our waitress said she'd bring some waters. Well,our waters were brought, but to the wrong table! We ordered drinks and she forgot half of them. We eventually were able to moveback inside after waiting and asking to do so since it was so hot outside on the deck. Speaking as a former waitress, theservice here is not good. It took 15 minutes to get a drink refilled and they weren't even that busy! Waitress kept trying toclear plates before we were even close to being done, and couldn't answer basic questions about the menu. The food was average,but certainly not worth what they charge.

Great service! Meal came out quick, was nice and hot and delicious! Zucchini had great flavor!
