The staff was absolutely wonderful, so knowledgeable and considerate. The food was well, it definitely could have been better I wish there were salt and pepper on the tables. But honestly the price tag just outweighs any real pleasure my boyfriend and I got out of it almost 200 dollars. So 100 per person to cook our own food. I could have done that at home, the staff and atmosphere are the best part.
My family dined at the Louisville location on Feb. 2 to celebrate my daughter 's 13th birthday. Our reservation was at 7:00 p.m., and there were six people in our party including my wife, mother-in-law, and two sons.During our dinner, a party of 6 women were seated at the table directly behind us, and as their conversations escalated, it was determined they were celebrating a bachelorette party. Unfortunately, the comments they made as the dinner progressed became worse and worse, vulgar, sexual in nature, and so bad that my wife finally spoke up to let them know we had children at our table. At that remark, they commented back that children shouldn 't be out this late if they don 't want to hear things like this. After that remark, I got up and went to the hostess and asked to see the manager. He came over to me at the hostess stand and I asked if he knew what was going on at the table behind ours. He said he did, and was sympathetic, stating he had kids as well. I paused to see what he was going to do about it. He asked if we were done with our meal, to which I replied, We are now. We had just started on our dessert, but I was not going to subject my family to that atmosphere any longer. He asked if he could get us any dippers to go, but still did not offer to say anything or do anything about the party at the table behind ours.I paid our bill in full and left. All I got from the manager was an I 'm sorry . To say that I was disappointed at how this was handled is an understatement. I would encourage that there be some type of training for staff, especially managers, to be able to handle unruly customers in situations like these. In what was supposed to be a celebratory evening for our daughter 's 13th birthday turned in to a horrific experience for my family.
Great experience overall. Server asked if we had been there before, and we said no. She then took drink order, waited for bar drinks to come out and deliver them before explaining the menu. Not the end of the world, just a lot of sitting and waiting to figure out answers to our questions.
Very nice place, we come here atleast once a year and the food and service are always top notch. However, this most recent time we were sat at a weird little corner booth. You couldn't look up anywhere because the booth was facing two other booths and we felt a little awkward. No privacy. The normal booths however provide plenty of privacy.
My partner and I went for Valentine's day. Our reservation was for 9:30pm but we did not get seated until 10:30pm. Our waiter I believe was Jared, he was very friendly and energetic. He did a great job explaining the gist of the place to my partner who had never been. The food was good, I think their regular menu is way better than the Valentines special. It's definitely overpriced. Normally, it's around $100 for 2 people but since it was a holiday it was $270 for the 2 of us after the 18% gratuity. The only difference between how it is usually was the single candle and rose petals they add to the table. It did come with a complimentary glass of champagne or sparkling grape juice for those under 21, a small vase with a few roses, as well as a $25 giftcard for your next visit. We did leave an extra tip just because it was 12:30am by the time we got out of the restaurant with several tables still seated and eating. The place is very clean and well kept. I will definitely be going again but not for a holiday.
