This was nothing special. The chicken was super dry. My friend got the steak, though, and it was good that was my own fault for not ordering steak from a steakhouse. We waited a long time but our server was so kind and apologetic, going as far as to offer us free appetizers. We waited a long time for our checks as well but I suppose they were just busy. Overall, not bad, but not great. I do recommend the cocktails though.
I haven't been here since the great restaurant shut down period. I don't come here for their steaks not that they are bad. I just like cooking my steak's on my wood pellet grill slow smoking them . But I do make this my salad bar choice accompanied with chicken fried steak or one of the other not steak choices. It turned out to be a good choice for lunch and I plan on coming back for the pork chops next time. Ever day a entree pears with the salad bar with different choices each day of the week a great value.
I visited with friends, spouse and a child recently. I had the bourbon glazed Salmon which was very good and a pretty hefty portion. I got steamed vegetables as my side. When the check came, I noticed a $1 upcharge for the vegetables. I'm not exactly going broke over a $1, but I did call to find out why. It appears that steamed broccoli and cauliflower is a $1 more than just steamed broccoli. Honestly, has it come to that? I can get steamed cauliflower, broccoli and carrots any day of the week at Texas Roadhouse without an upcharge. Cattleman's, you seriously can do better than that. I would never consider steamed vegetables a premium side. It's offered at almost any restaurant in town without being considered a premium side.
We got in quickly and there was no wait. We had a good experience and the staff was nice. The prime rib is good so was the salad bar.
