Service was great and attentive, and the servers were polite and helpful. The place has several set meals if its too hard to pick from all the selections of dishes they offer. I had chosen the mix platter set and my buddy chose the steak set. An outdoor electric grill is setup outdoors for us to grill out meats and veggies. It worked very well but i do miss the natural flavors of charcoal in many of the traditional japanese bbq styles. For now this will have to do. The quality was pretty good, and the price was not too bad. I also ordered the following items ala carte: Kobe sushi which was good but it did not wow me. I probably would not order that again. Kobe Zabutan (chuck flap meat) Not bad as well and beef big intestine which was interesting and not bad too. Overall quality of meat was good and the absence of having any dining experience in the last few months raises the review grade for this place. Service was a key factor that made it more enjoyable.
They are open for pick up and take out ! We can order by Uber eats and doordush app as well !
This was my second time back here and it did not disappoint! Drink: Self-served and unlimited soda in the back of the dining room. You can also have unlimited water and/or teas (hot, cold, and green) too. Scored this time! They had a pitcher of Calpico, yes!!! I helped myself to two full glasses and the last glass was green tea to cleanse my palate. I ordered the Lunch Special $9.50 Fried Jidori Chicken plate. Two of my coworkers got it last time and it looked good. Included with my meal is a fountain drink, miso soup, rice and dessert (ice cream). The first two items that were brought out was the miso soup and salad. The miso soup was hot and delicious. A bit salty this time, but my yummy Calpico drink mellowed it out. The salad (Japanese Cabbage Salad) itself was fresh and crisp with the sweet dressing on top. Again, a tasty way to warm up the palate before my entrée arrived. Next, came the Fried Jidori Chicken plate and it was gor-geo-us! Served with sliced cabbage, a wedge of lemon and a small bowl of salt and pepper mixture. The only thing I didn't touch was the salt and pepper mixture since the Jidori chicken was flavorful enough. My six (6) Jidori chicken pieces were HUGE!!! (Think gold ball sizes). Fried golden and crispy on the outside, while tasting juicy, tender and flavorful on the inside. I ended up having to split each piece in either halves or in thirds just to fit it into my mouth. I definitely got my money's worth with this plate, hehe! My meal also came with a bowl of fluffy, white rice. Yes, I would highly recommend getting this. The last part of the meal was my ice cream dessert and I picked Red Bean flavor. I would have stayed with my Black Sesame, but they didn't have it this time. The Red Bean was still a bit frozen when I got it, but eventually it started softening up. Sweet and creamy, a great way to end the meal. Service: The two waitresses working the floor were both sweet and attentive. They'll walk by my table or peek over to see if I was ready for my next dish or check. Never intrusive or rushing, I was able to enjoy my meal in peace and photo style my meal and drinks as much as I want, lol! Overall, I had a fantastic meal and I'll be back again another time, yay!
This place sucks! I'm writing this as I'm sitting in the booth because it's taking over 25 mins for grilled fish. I also ordered the salmon and salmon roe bowl and the ginger is disgusting. It taste like sink rag water spilled onto it and they just shrugged and continued to serve it. I'm afraid to even finish my lunch... Just don't bother. You've been warned.
Great laid back restaurant at the top level of the food court. The food has been consistently fresh, the staff are friendly, and the overall experience has always been satisfying. We always order a steak or seafood mixed plate for grilling! So delicious, I get hungry thinking about it. It's a family business I assume, and also family friendly :
