Johnny's West Adams - Los Angeles

The place was cute, outside. The patio was set up nicely. The food was good. I had the pastrami Sandwich with fries it was a little dry but good the fries came with this garlic sauce to die for i would come back just for the garlic sauce...burnt ends the sauce that was with it didn't fit I just needed BBQ, but other than that, everything was delicious. I'd Literally just go back for that garlic sauce. They have for the French Fries Those were everything. Oh, also, they had a cute little bar off to the side. It looked like it would be cute for some date night situations in there so that was cute.

Overall a really good Pastrami option in a take-out centered type of setting. Service is very fast and the prices are fair, but the food overall to me was a 4/5 since I have had better meat and bread options elsewhere, but still very happy that we tried it. The lady behind the counter was very nice as well. They have a paid parking lot attached otherwise it will be street or neighborhood parking.We ordered the Pastrami Dip and fries. Their fries are good but are the frozen, crinkled kind so they won’t taste like the fresher In N Out version. The dip itself was a bit smaller than I expected and also did not come with au jus, which I feel is a necessity for a good dip sandwich. Would have liked the meat to be a bit juicer and would have also enjoyed fresher bread.Overall I would say it’s worth trying, especially for any pastrami fan out there. I wish I could give more stars because the food was amazing even though I received it and it was barely room temp and soggy. They're service was really bad and they're electronic number system didn't help at all. My order took 55 minutes, I asked after 37 minutes and they said my order was missing an item so I went to the register and got a copy of the receipt and noticed how long it had been. The cook came over and said it was up to me to check for my food even though I did ask and it wasn't ready. Soggy fries, pastrami roll half soggy half hard and the pastrami was amazing I'll give it that. They didn't even apologize, he said we can make it again but you'll have to wait again. No thanks.

Wow been a minute but what a surprise! This place is beautiful and the service was amazing! It’s good to see original LA spots have such a beautiful upgrade to its atmosphere. The pastrami is still good! The fries are so damn delicious!! Love to see this place thriving!

This place is a great find. Here isn’t inside dining, but a cute area with picnic tables and heaters if it’s cold.The wait isn’t long, and the food comes out fast. Service efficient and friendly. They have an extensive menu and reasonable prices. You order your food by the window, then grab it from the other window and choose a place to sit. Plenty of space!It is an excellent spot for small or large groups, date nights, and to come by yourself to grab something to eat. The atmosphere is very open and chill. We were able to find parking on the street, but you might have to drive around a few times to find parking.
