Harry the manager was the best person I’d ever encountered at Umami burger

This was for a birthday celebration, which was mentioned in the original reservation, though no mention was made at the restaurant. That’s fine as it wasn’t expected, just a little disappointing

I went to the restaurant for an early dinner with my children on Saturday evening. The staff at the front desk had attitude and where very unfriendly. No smile, no welcome, just a surly glare and we were told to sit wait whilst they prepared a table. Note, the restaurant was almost empty.We sat for nearly minutes and no one came over. I counted staff chatting and having a laugh near the kitchen and watched and waited but no one came over. Finally the water person came over to give us water and I asked to make our order.He sent a server over who informed me “I’m not your server but I’ll take your order.” Well thank you for doing your JOB. Very poor service, food was just ok, atmosphere was dull, the restaurant wasn’t clean tables smeared with grease fries squashed into the floor.Will not go again and would never recommend to a friend

Food wasn’t great, waiter kept mishearing it’s forgetting about out items, had to wait for a table though we had it booked, their kitchen supposedly wasn’t getting orders out in time, meanwhile they restaurant wasn’t even half full. Had to wait for food for way too long and when it arrived it was Macdonald level

We had put this place on priority to revisit once we moved away. We discovered on our visit that they took away the vegan truffle burger. My only reason for coming. No longer carry the ingredients to even conjure one up. Changed thin fries for thick. Changed drinks fresh made to a bottle. Our waiter suggested we complain on reviews, like many others he knew are missing these things too. Sorry you lost our business unless you make changes
