Gunston Wok - Lorton

We have moved back to the area since then and find that Hunan Lorton had closed, but it looks like we finally found a decent local Chinese food place that does not break the bank. While we haven't sampled the entire menu yet, I feel like I can say that while it's food is not authentic Chinese and is not revolutionary, it's good, tasteful American cuisine. And that's good! It's great, even if that's what you're looking for. It's what we were looking for, and that's why I'm giving it five stars. Oh, one thing: Many of the dishes allow you to choose a level of spiciness. I played it safe and went with medium for our first order....they were definitely with a caucasian spiciness scale (my husband: should that be sharp? I think I feel a little bit on my tongue, so adjust your expectations accordingly.

We ordered pan roasted dumplings, chicken roasted rice, lo my hot and sour soup and egg drops soup and everything was delicious.

Good Chinese takeout! The food was fresh, hot and fast. Chicken was tender and great quality all white meat! Easy to order and they do a great task to reduce contact and wear masks.

The food is delicious. Baked dumplings are big. Beef and broccoli is a very good part. And the shrimp frying actually uses decent shrimp instead of the tiny ones you normally see in other restaurants

For the first time I tried Shrimp Egg Fu Young.Delicious!!!
