Bar U Ranch - Longview

Like everyone we always drove by and stopped. We were glad we did an awesome piece of our cowboy heritage and amazing stories to boot. Lots of interpretive guides and hands on displays. Also the onsite cafe run by local ladies was excellent. Definitely worth the time.

Roast beef dinner, mashed potatoes and Yorkshire pudding - a delicious country treat at this national historic ranch location along the cowboy trail. Don't miss this stop. A country welcome not to be missed!

This little restaurant was a great find. You place your order at the counter and they call you when it's ready. The staff was so pleasant, the food was delicious, and the tables and dining area were spotless. We were pleasantly surprised!!

Very original dishes, offered in fun containers, this self brings not only gustative pleasure but also visual for very reasonable prices, it is necessary to eat when visiting the ranch u (historical site), but also you pass in the corner

This café is located inside the visitor center at the National Historic Bar U Ranch. I saw some reviews regarding the ranch posted here instead on the "Historic" listing under things to do in Longview. Anyway, kudos to the keepers of this little café. We had the blackened grilled Cajun chicken sandwich which was delicious! They had quite the assortment of items on the menu. Service was friendly, fast, and reasonable priced. We enjoyed our day at Bar U Ranch, café and gift shop.
