You can cook if you can cook octopus correctly. And chef Pretty did a fantastic job. Tender accompanied with beans chorizo and creme fraiche. This appetizer was good size for two people to share. It was salty but the creme balanced the saltiness of the chorizo. Next tried the agnolotti with sweet corn. Sage and Parmesan cheese emulsion. Now this pasta dish again was salty but the flavor combo with the sweet corn and the al dente of the pasta were amazing. This I would order again. The portion is small but filling. Then tried the pasture bird. Again this was salty and they added some more sea salt on top of the bird that made it saltier. The skin of the bird were crispy. The meat was not dry. It was accompanied by smoked bean purée and pink oyster mushroom. The service by Brandon was fantastic. And the outdoor dining was really nice. Even got heat lamps. Def must return and try other things. Not sure if they will change their menu base on season but perhaps. Just so we could indulge in some more great food and hopefully less salty.
Quaint place in middle of residential jungle. Simple to read menu. Lunchbox meal caught my eye readily. Ordered the broccoli veggies sandwich, with deviled eggs side and Arnold Palmer for the drink. Drink was professionally prepared. They said eggs would take 30 mins to be done, but definitely worth the wait. Easily one of the best sandwich shops in the area. Perfect blend of vegetables, sauces and seasoning. Generous serving size and great amicable service. Must go for a quick bite when in the Long Beach area
Best potato salad I have ever had! I plan to try most of the sandwiches but tried the chicken one first and gotta say it was great! The ambiance, vibe and customer service is next level for a sandwich shop- though I think they will have a more diverse menu soon! We went to the soft opening dinner service and all the dishes very light, yummy, a taste for the pallet, and very well thought out. Excited to have this new place in the neighbourhood and look forward to trying everything else. Whoever designed the place and concept did an amazing job!
First of all, I like the aesthetic and the effort to make a great sandwich in Long Beach. (The city has no legit sandwich offerings. Had the brisket, the pork belly and the prawn sandwiches. I would skip the prawn. The aioli is too runny and there 's not enough lemon or garlic so the shrimp taste fishy. The other two were solid. Come hungry because it 's a lot of food when you consider the thick sliced bread. I would say that it would be nice if there were like 2-3 normal-ish staples on the menu so that a family could enjoy together. Only other complaint is that at about $45 for three sandwiches it 's kind of pricey. Hard to be a regular (midweek type customer at that rate.
Just tried for the first time. Smoked pork belly sandwich, amazing. Definitely the best I ever had. Clean place, nice atmosphere, the meats are smoked on site, you can smell from blocks away.
