Ben's Canteen - London

Beautiful brunch of sweet mais and cherry pebbles with halloumi and a poched egg, washed down with an breakfast pizza. delicious! great atmosphere; excellent friendly and efficient service. highly recommended.

The chickenburger at ben’s canteen is so good, I find it sometimes eaten! with the team of gertrude ivy I visited and organized several events at bc battersea and earlsfield. brunch, lunch, drinks dinner can be recommended at any time.

Sitting and rude personal attitude next to this place is a joy. eating is brilliant and the eggs melt in the mouth. a basic manating class is probably not too much to ask though.

From juicy chin dribblers to burger wrapped in scotch eggs when his sandwich between two bungalows, I'm pretty sure I eat it. but with new burger pitches that all the time appear, everything can get a little bit meh. You know. it must be something really different for me to sit down and remember. how do they make burger exciting again, ask them? by connecting them to wein, of course.

Have you ever paired your burgers with wine? No? Me neither. Well, I’ve had a bottle of wine with my meal or burger many times before but never have I thought about pairing it with its specific ingredients. Ben’s Canteen in Battersea are trying to change all that however, serving up mini sliders alongside delicious wines paired specifically with each one. It’s a fantastic idea – especially as burgers to me were old hat, making them exciting all over again. And the burgers here really were absolutely delicious. The restaurant is located on the rather busy St John’s Hill but despite constant traffic the music inside quickly drowns it out. They also have a second site in Earlsfield. We settled ourselves in here at Battersea with a couple of well-made classic cocktails in the form of a potent Negroni and smooth old-fashioned, both of which packed a nice punch and warmth.
