Schmaltz Delicatessen - Logan County

So delicious. Got an order for pick up today; it was on time, fresh and everything was so good. Coming from the east coast it’s so hard to find good bagels in the Midwest. Schmaltz has the best! Their Reuben is really good, the matzo ball soup is the best we’ve had and the potato latkes taste like my grandmas. So happy we found this local gem!

When I think Deli, I never know what I’m quite going to get. Some delis are hit and miss or don’t have quiet what you’re looking for. Schmaltz does! Their sandwiches and desserts are absolutely amazing! With a variety of sides and offerings, I am never disappointed. The new location is absolutely amazing with a great authentic Deli vibe. And the Blackout Chocolate Cake, heaven! Any time I’m in the Chicago area, I go to Schmaltz!

Was once the best place other than Manny's to get Jewish Deli food. I loved this place once. Quality and Service were great, sadly both are now suffering. Covid hurt this place, Yes! Prices are going up of course, but the people who work there since Covid just don't ever seem to really know what's going on. Last 2 experiences service and food were mediocre. Overstuffed sandwiches were anythying but. Maybe employee training? I'd rather pay more to get even more to get what is adverstised. … – show

The new location is very confusing, I used to give 5 star for the old location,but revised to 3 star because the ordering process is messy up. If the owner paid a designer for this work flow design, I advise you ask for your money back, it is ruining your business. Food is still good tho.

Love their food. Great staff. But when I ordered creamy chicken rice soup with vegetables I got a vegetable beef soup instead. It wasn't even on their menu that day.???
