It is well worth the ride where you can discover wild life, passing through valleys and wide open fields past the Centennial Moutain Range and Fish, Kayak and Kanu on Elk Lake. The food is made delicious at home and the rooms are perfectly cleaned.
Super location and food and service. Have recommended many friends looking for a big short holiday half from the net.
We recently stayed at Elk Lake Camp with family and friends and had an excellent time. Laurel, Jake and staff are great hosts. The lodg, cabins and people are friendly an inviting in a majestic and relaxed setting. The main lodge and bar was great place to gather on a rainy day to play games, catch up and share a cocktail. If you are looking for an off the grid, low key vacation this the spot. Plus the food and meals were outstanding. I will be back!
We originally wanted to book a cabin in this lodge, but they paid a fee of 25% for all debit/credit transactions. When I gave the man the card number on the phone, I asked him if there was any other way to pay, as 25% fee on the cost of the accommodation was quite steep. He said I could send them a check, so I told him not to charge my card so I can pay them in another way. He charged my card anyway. ? You need to do better in finding other alternatives to accept payment.
Only when the nights are in the 30s and there is no heat in the cabin, makes it for a less than pleasant stay. The commentary about the lightness on the bed linen was not really required, but I had to and without heat was shaken hard between the time of getting out of the shower before I could get to bed. The cinnamon rolls were the best of the food there, the rest was extremely spiced.
