Pops Pub and Grille Lethbridge West

Came in with some friends for some food after a movie. We sat for 15 minutes at an empty table, got passed by several servers not even acknowledged once. One female server was standing at the bar talking to a customer the entire time. Only when we decided to get up and leave did she come over - as we were walking to the door - with a fake. "Oh, can I get you girls anything?" By then we had already made up our minds that we'd never come to this establishment ever again.

This is a great spot for wings on a Wednesday night, it is right beside the University, so there is a pretty young crowd. good specials and cheap jugs when there is a special on.

We stopped by for lunch. Both my wife are fans of Beef Barley soup. First of all the bowl size was small for $5.00 a bowl and the soup was luke warm (I like my soup hot) and the soup was very salty. Very disappointing especial when we sent the soup back to have it heated and it still came back "just warm".We also tried the 25 cent perigees - bacon and cheese. We could not find the bacon!!!! But what do you expect for 25 cents. Coffee was $2.75 a cup but our server came by a number of times and refilled our cups - no complaint on that.Speaking of our server, she was excellent. Renee took the time to talk to us - about where we were from and where she was from - very friendly. Also the pub was very clean, roomy and comfortable.If we are back in this area, I would like to give this pub another chance on the food - usually pub food is quite good and I am certain that by ordering something else of the menu, we would be more satisfied.

I like Pops because it is big enough that, unless it's wing night, you can always find a table. They have Granville Island beer, and that gets them an A in my books. Staff is usually pretty great, and the food has only been slow a few times.

This is a great local pub! It has a wide variety of clientele and fantastic daily specials. We have ordered many different food items and they are all delicious. The staff is very friendly but this is a busy place so they are often off and running! They do fun events like Trivia night, Name That Tune, and contests and giveaways during sports events. While this pub is within walking distance to our house we would definitely go even if it wasn't!
