A real family place with friendly atmosphere and staff. The food was authentic and the dining rooms were traditional, as was the clientele! We had a very attentive server and relaxing meal.

This is one of the strangest places I've ever eaten. Like a museum of bad taste. Vax figures in renaissance clothes mixed with plastic flowers and bamboo. The food itself was not bad at all. Juicy pork schnitzel with pan fried potatoes and vegetables.

Delicious, all you can eat duck with tasty vegetables on the side. Wonderful food, nice ambience, and speedy service. They also make accommodations for people who are intolerant to gluten.

OK, so the translation from German to English isn't as good as in the vernacular, but if you love duck dishes this is excellent. We were staying in a tourist apartment across the road, saw the video on you tube and thought it was worth a try. Our third Saxon meal this week and the best. I had the dail special meal, beetroot soup with smoed trout and dill, followed by roast duck, potato balls and the best red cabbage so far (previous have tasted of spice! , this tasted of cabbage! , R had potato soup with smoked sausage and exceptional calves liver snd onions. We were ravenous and that helps with this style of cooking. A lovely evening.

I live just next door so naturally I come here a lot. Great traditional German food and decent prices. Also large variety on the daily lunch menu. The staff is super friendly and very quick!
