Caribou Coffee - Lee's Summit

My favorite coffee ever! It's smooth and rich. Plus I swear I get a better pick me up from this coffee than any other coffee joint I've ever visited. The staff is always super friendly. They have milk alternatives. Oh, and if you like mochas they've got white chocolate, milk chocolate and dark chocolate. You can get blended, iced, or hot coffee. Highly recommend! Also they serve breakfast items. I love the white chocolate raspberry scone. I don't like white chocolate, but this thing is amazing. Ask them to warm it up.

Service is great! My rating of 3 stars is because everything that is standard is overly sweet. I imagine it’s an industry standard to serve diabetes in a cup nowadays but I hope eventually people will have to ask for it sweeter instead of asking for significantly less sweetener. It tastes like syrup in a cup. I think people haven’t baked from scratch in sometime so they have no idea what corn syrup looks tastes like on its own but come here it’s pretty dang close. Employees are amazing but they should warn people how sweet their drinks are.

2020 edit: Caribou is best summarized as Inconsistently delicious . The cold crafted press in the AM is one of my favorite things usually and to top it off everyone who works at this Caribou is always smiling and having a good time. I order the same thing but get a different variation of the crafted press almost every time and sometimes its amazing. Coffee is tasty regardless so I usually don 't say anything but that has to be difficult to attract new customers with a couple drinks that usually taste different.

Love their coffee! They always have super friendly staff and great service. Their Caramel High Rise is amazing if toot want something sweet and I love their Americana with heavy cream. For the kids, their coffeeless coolers ands smoothies are delicious! And my kids favorite sandwich is their 3 cheese grilled cheese.

As for customer service, I have always had a positive experience with the employees, and I've considered myself a daily customer until recently. I've noticed that the drinks, particularly the Caramel High Rise, have little to no caramel flavor. I used to bring this to their attention, and they would replace the drink without hesitation. However, a couple of months ago, I spoke with an employee named Karen who told me, "We make our drinks correctly. Sometimes the flavor might be off because we're in a hurry, but we do it right. We don't have the time or staff to keep remaking your drinks, so we won't be replacing them anymore." This response is disappointing, especially when you're selling a product that doesn't meet the customer's expectations and then refuse to make it right. This has ultimately driven me to stop going as frequently. I really hope they fix the pumps or whatever the underlying issue is, as I'm tired of ordering a Caramel High Rise that lacks caramel flavor, especially when the staff is aware of the problem.
