The waitress was attentive and provided excellent customer service. She was friendly and managed to ensure that all customers had what they needed. The man preparing the seafood was also friendly and helpful and provided guidance regarding how to eat certain seafood. If you want fresh seafood at Le Grau du Roi this is the place to go.
This tiny restaurant on the left side of the channel offers most probably the best seafood platters you could find in Grau du Roi. The oisters, different sort of mussels and sea snails, the shrimps and the big crab on the seafood platters are absolutely fresh. Of course, quality has its price it is not cheap here but worthwhile to enjoy great seafood. The menue card shows only different cold seafood dishes and or 5 or 6 different seafood platters. The wine list is very small the Picpoul white wine can be recommended. Service is very friendly and helpful.
This small restaurant offers good fresh oysters and other shellfish, but we pointedly asked for an outside table when we booked. When we arrived, the only table available was inside of the small cramped dining room. We decided to stay, but this error was off-putting, and service was off-handed and rather haughty, too. Oysters and prawns good, anchovies dull, tellines (tiny clams) full of sand. Doubt we'd return.
If you're in the mood for a seafood grub, this is definitely a good place to go. My boyfriend and I went here and loved it! The service was excellent and very accommodating. My boyfriend tried oysters for the first time, and wasn't a fan. I asked our server if he would mind switching it out for something else (if you're going to pay for a pricey meal, it might as well be something you enjoy). So he kindly did. When I tried sea snails, I was definitely not a fan. And he had added more from the first request. There was no way we could eat all these sea snails. So I apologized and asked again to switch out for something else, and again he made it happen. We might not have enjoyed those few items, but everything else was delicious and satisfied our craving. The crab was yummy! The location was nice as well. I would go again, but seafood isn't cheap however, worth paying once in a while to treat yourself!
