A childhood favorite of mine. The exteriors of the building, as well as the decor in the inside, do not do this charming little place justice. The woman in the kitchen has been cooking since they opened, and if anything were to happen to her the restaurant would have no anchor. She’s akin to a Korean grandmother, who is always excited to see you and make you a warm meal. There isn’t enough that I can say about the food at the Garden House. Upon being placed on your table straight from the kitchen, the dishes are beautiful. They taste just like Grandma makes them (if she’s Korean, of course), and I don’t doubt for a second that there’s great care and genuine love in every dish this restaurant serves. Just like a standard Korean meal, you’re greeted with your main dish alongside a classic banchan, the many little dishes that Korean food is known for. A part of me also loves this restaurant by association. My mother was Korean, and every so often on a rainy spring Saturday when I was a child she would take me out to the restaurant to greet the cook and share lunch. It’s a small fraction of my life, but I do consider a piece of this restaurant my home. I still take my sister here when she’s had a bad day at school or when she misses her mom. My hope is that new customers can come in with their friends and family and feel that same comfort and eventual familiarity that I do. There’s so much that this little restaurant can offer, and I want to share my passion for it.
Samsun u-Dong I’ve ordered taste very good, restaurant is clean, parking in the rear.
The owner is a wonderful lady who makes it feel like you are eating at home with your own mother. Yes. I will wait for my food as she tends to her customers and supervises the kitchen. As she promised, the food does not disappoint. She explained to me that they use only the freshest and top quality ingredients. The banchan was spot on. The kimchi and gakdoogi not too ripe. I had the fish stew and my daughter the shredded beef stew. We both agreed that it was amazing. If you want to feel like you have been invited to a home cooked Korean meal this is the place to come.
Been coming here for a very long time. One of the best Korean Restaurants we have found in MA area. Food is great, and owner is very polite. The side dishes are also delicious!
