Crab Daddy's Surf Turf - Lakeland

Mmmm. So glad they returned to our community. We *really* enjoy their fried shrimp and catfish with light seasoning! And the hush puppies are straight- forward, too. No onions or peppers. Yea! A lot of the other items are too spicy for us. For example, the crab cake didn't have a lot of filler (yea) but we couldn't taste the crab for all the cajun seasoning. And let me reiterate how great the StreetFoodFinder app is. We ordered online from our comfy couch. The app kept us updated as to when our order could be expected. We were even able to schedule pickup for a later time, not just ASAP. BONUS points for the ordering app!

Let me just start by saying THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME IN A LONG TIME THAT I 'VE BEEN WOWED BY FOOD AT A RESTAURANT! I ordered from them at the Juneteenth festival at the Tampa Museum of Art. I knew this was going to be good from the smell of the food alone! I ordered The Skillet which was a seafood rice packed with shrimp, grouper nuggets, crab meat, and sausage, with some kind of delicious sauce on top! It kinda gave me a New Orleans vibe with the flavor profile and the sauce that was on top. OMG it was AMAZING! It was a large portion too. I ate some for lunch, nibbled it a bit at dinner, and took the remainder to work for lunch the next day. My coworkers were jealous of the smell of my lunch! I would definitely order from them again!

For spending $65 on your food truck tonight ordering at 4:45 online to get there at 6 and my order not ready..... waited in parking lot for another 15mins for the lady to just forget to call my number and no apology or anything
