Nelda's Diner - Lake Isabella

This place is a hidden gem, and our server SARAH was an absolute pleasure. She has restored my faith in the human race. Wonderful culinary experience, funny decor, cheap food!

The service here is 1st class, fast seating, waitperson on the spot, drink orders and menus rite away. The menu is very extensive, has daily specials and reasonable pricing. The food has always been excellent (I have eaten here many times),the staff is always attentive and helpful, and if your lucky you may get to talk to the owner. There is lots of Kern River Valley history on the walls, and the employees can add to that if you are interested.

The four of us all had very good hamburgers, fries were crispy. We always eat here when in the area. They also make great milkshakes.

I have always loved this place, a staple of the community really. There can be times that it takes a minute to get your foo, but it is always worth it. (Then there are times like tonight when the the only thing holding up the food was us making a choice! Classic Hometown dining at its best!
