Chef Serape - Lake Isabella

Slightly better than Don Sombreros, but still lacking. The chips and salsa were great, with good flavor and some heat. The service was friendly but slow. The food was fair, but not great. I won't be coming back. Next stop is El Portal.

I have visited this restaurant several times and the food is consistently delicious. I have never had a disappointing dish. The quality of service can vary depending on who is serving you. This is not the place to go if you are in a rush.

Excellent soups, try the Friday Problano! All the dishes are authentic and priced fairly, good service and very nice owners. The mini Tostado is loaded with chicken and very filling.

I tried out this Mexican restaurant in the Lake Isabella area during my visit to see my mother-in-law over the weekend. I ordered lunch for 5 people and was pleasantly surprised by the solid quality of the food. It was a bit unusual to see that neither the customers nor the staff were wearing masks, but we felt safe and enjoyed our meal. My favorite dish was the Carnitas, which was absolutely delicious. Thank you to Chef Serape for a great meal!

Bomb food. Great authentic Mexican style food if you want good tasting food this is a place to go with great quality service and great dish amounts.
