The food here is great, wait staff constantly check in with for anything you might need. Overall great place to go to.

I ordered a 14.99 dinner plate and wanted water to drink. I was told I had to buy the water, they don’t provide it for free it’s 1.00. I understand the restaurant is not legally bound to provide water, but come on… it’s not like I didn’t purchase any food here…. a 4% charge if you use a credit card.. no horseradish… the water is taxed(see receipt).

A typical Louisiana dinner! You can eat crayfish there or even a superb gumbo (typical Creole dish).

Highly recommend, if you can't get to NOLA then this is the next best place to go. Even when it's busy the line moves quickly, the service is always top notch. The food is amazing, my go to is the Atchafalya Platter and it always hits the spot with Fish filet served on rice covered in etoufee. Parking: Free parking located in front and in sides, can get busy so be patient Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly atmosphere and food options.

Where do I start? I absolutely love steamboat bills, the food, top tier customer service, and the atmosphere. This is a family-friendly location. I went on a Saturday before the sky fell out from the rain. My mom is a big food critic, but she loved Steamboat Bills. I got a few appetizers: fried alligator bites, boudin balls, and red beans rice. All were amazing hot made to order 10/10. My favorite is alligator bites with dipping sauce. We had two orders for our table. I got the small captains plater with some sweet tea. The small captains plater was a nice portion size. The fish was fried softly. I thought I wouldn't like it, but I loved it. I have never liked coleslaw but theirs was actually good with a nice hot roll. Alcohol lovers, there are specialty drinks for you. I don't remember the names. I only tasted one with Bacardi. It was not my favorite, probably for people who love strong mixed drinks. The drink with the Malibu rum/ pineapple was my absolute favorite. I had two! I was with a bunch of picky eaters that love this place now. We will be back and maybe get some desserts next time. I was reminded of why I went to Steamboat Bills years ago. They are back to one of my favorite places to eat at in the Lake Charles area. Try everything I know I will! They have so much to try.
