East Coast Bagel Co - Laguna Niguel

I have now sampled every bagel shop in town, and this is the most authentic. Bagels are perfectly soft, with chewy crust, just the way they are on the east coast. Wonderful flavors and generous cream cheese as well. Once you've had a bagel here, you can't go anywhere else!

East Coast Bagel is a solid neighborhood Bagel joint. Don't let Bagels Brew know I cheated on them, they are always going to be my go to purveyor for stretched out and then baked carbohydrates and flavored Cream Cheese. After being disloyal and finding some side action with East Coast Bagel I am both humiliated and ashamed. That said, East Coast Bagel makes a solid Bagel at a fair price with remarkably speedy customer service and all of the options in Smears and/or Bagel Sandwiches you could ask for. The Lox Bagel Sandwich is a sure shot for any fan of Gravlax and the portions are absurd easily enough to share so the value prop is totally on point at $7.50 but if you want to be a cheap b feel free to just order the Bagel Schmear for $5.00 and miss out on that Smoked Salmon action like a real schlub. But hey, you do you. I noticed there are quite a few reviews bemoaning new ownership and some menu changes that subsequently took place but to be real, East Coast Bagel will get the job done well if you are a local or are in the area looking for a righteous Bagel or Bagel Sandwich.

This was the best bagel I've had so far in Orange County. I got the Lox sandwich and it came fully loaded, but the bagel itself was the highlight. This will be my primary bagel place moving forward.

Friendly shopkeep, tasty NY style bagels! They have a good customer-base, so I call the day before and place my order to be sure the variety I like is available in the larger quantity I need : Their veggie cream cheese is fresh as well, good flavors!
