My tartiflete was really delicious and everyone else had excellent food.Cuisine is very much of that alpine area and we wouldn't hesitate to go back.
L'Ensoleillee has brilliant food, with the set menus offering good value for money. The presentation of the food really sets them apart from other restaurants in the valley, with creative plating that adds an element of sophistication. The atmosphere is nice and the service was excellent. We've visited twice in the last month and both times the food and service were to a high standard. One minor point is that unlike most restaurants, you cannot make any substitutions in the set menus, even for a lower value option. This is made clear on the menu however, and is only a mild inconvenience.
Probably the nicest spot in La Chapelle with a good range on the menu upstairs and a nice, alpine bar ambience downstairs. The waffles are nice with Hot Chocolate and it really catches the sun so the outdoor seats are a great place to catch some rays.
We visited the restaurant on a sunday evening, not many guests - but being at the end of the skiing season (29/3) a normal situation. The staff was very welcoming and offered and excellent service. The food was delicious and served in a 'appetizing' manner. We'll definitely be back!
We liked this place very comfortable and welcoming - good food- great value for money. Recomment the platters.
