The tortellini was filled with perfectly sweet pumpkin and finished with sage and was again, exactly what you would expect from freshly made pasta. The spaghetti was cooked firm to the bite and full of flavour which was a delight. Simple food prepared and cooked really well. We also had the tiramisu as this is the kind of place that you would expect to make one well and it did not disappoint. Light, rich and really well balanced. Don't share one like I did....eat one to yourself! Definitely a repeat offender.
Have been coming here for over 20 years so thought it was about time I reviewed it.The food has always been consistently good great value especially considering the venerable heritage of the Grossi Florentino kitchens. Great pasta. And some of the rotating specials (osso bucco! feel like they've dropped off the menu from the Cellar Bar's more fancy siblings next door or upstairs. The service has always been impeccable. And the space is somehow inviting, attractive and comfortable despite being a bit tight and noisy.
Good service and good food. The staff here has been well trained on the menu so they know exactly how to answer any questions about it. Had the tortellini which was delicious- filled with pumpkin. My partner has the calamari spaghetti- the fresh pasta was cooked perfectly. Definitely shows the experience of this restaurant through good food and good customer service. Will be back.
Consistently good food and service. Have eaten in the grill and cellar a few times but often just pop in for coffee and sweets. The tiramisu is simply amazing. Brava!
Me and my partner happened to pass by this cozy look bar and decided to give it a try. It was full but we managed to grab a seat at the bar counter. If you don't mind sitting there when you got no reservation made. We have the marinated octopus and salad as entree, lasagna and lamb brain as main, finish with flourless chocolate. I'm not a dessert fan but this is good, it's not very sweet. Busy place but service was good. The place is small and dim light which made me feel cosy.
