Schwedenschenke - Konstanz

My wife and I were visiting Mainau Island and didn't realize how big it was and that great cuisine was available there. We got hungry from walking and randomly dropped into Schwedenshenke and how lucky we were. They have great beer, so we tried a...Rothaus Hefeweizen and it was delicious. We also had the pork tenderloin with spätzle. It was covered in a brown gravy and the meal could but have been better. The most shocking thing was the price was about half of what we expected and are use to in Switzerland. I recommend visiting Mainau island and this restaurant.

From what I recall, they had cold Swedish as the restaurants name suggests) meals which were a little disappointing for the price, but we enjoyed the desserts and warm beverages. It is apparent that very few tourists eat here, since they don 't speak English...very well. Nevertheless, the crew was welcoming and felt European in the non-touristic way.

Had a lovely day in the flower island. This restaurant is located on the island and is brilliant. I loved the food, very fresh and a lot.

Well what a place in the middle of the island in front of the castle you gave this fine restaurant!THE SCHWEDENSCHANKE is a tradition restaurant with good service. The menus are good local and seasonal. The security because of the virus

My wife and I had a lovely day enjoying the entire island, but decided to take a small bite for lunch. Since it is asparagus season, we both had to go with the cream of asparagus soup. It was absolutely delicious. However, the service was...a bit slow and the restaurant was not crowded.
