The beautiful premises of the Marble Palace house a large, private collection of antiques. For an art and history buff, wandering through its cool interiors might be an ideal way to spend a hot Kolkata afternoon—as long as one can keep one's annoyance with the staff in check. Although the place is not too well maintained, it is worth a visit.
Tgere is no entry fee..You can visit it any time. One of the Best old Calcutta heritage

A must see for every tourist who visits Kolkata. Get to see the opulence in the lifestyle of the rich zamindars (land owners) of medieval Bengal. The Palace houses exquisite paintings, artefacts, furnishings, chandeliers, etc. Wonderful architecture. There is a well kept garden where there are swans, and many other species of birds. Race horses are bred. The owners, the Mullick family still live in the building. The Palace is open to visitors. Open on all days except Mondays, free, one piece of advice stay away from touts or guides.
