Caruso - Köthen (Anhalt)

During my last visit we were regulars at Caruso because the food and service were excellent and shared special memories with friends. Unfortunately I was only in Koethen for one night and the restaurant was closed that night. We went for a late lunch before...I headed out of town for another meeting. The Caruso staff fit us in although they were closing for the afternoon and we had yummy risotto with a glass of wine. Just perfect!

I was visiting the beautiful town of Koethen for a few days of business meetings. Our first night our host suggested Caruso and we went back every night after. We were greeted as if we were family and treated as special guests every evening. The...food was delicious and perfectly prepared, wine selections were paired wonderfully and the service, oh the service ... genuine, professional, gracious. Our business meetings were successful and I cannot wait to go back to seal the deal and head to Ristorante Caruso again. This town has so much history, the people are lovely, I recommend you visit for a day, dine at Caruso and enjoy this slice of history and treat yourself to exceptional food and service.

Good set meals for large groups and nice wines from Italy. I suggest you go for the beef and in the May season take some fresh asparagus from a local producer Wulfen. Very tasty and even better when it's warm so you can sit...outside at the back of the restaurant.

Die atmosphäre war am anfang sehr gut schlug dann aber in eine falsche höflichkeit um.speisen zu klein und viel zu teuer.zum schluß wurde uns ohne zu fragen auch noch ein stuhl vom tisch genommen.höflichkeit sieht anders aus,zum schluß kann man sagen nie wieder.nicht zu empfehlen.

Im Rahmen unserer Reise an die Müritz kamen wir um die Mittagszeit nach Köthen; am Marktplatz, mit Blick auf die schön restaurierte Kirche St. Jacob, liegt das Caruso; die sehr freundliche Chefin bedient, ihr Mann ist in der Küche; der Insalata Tonno: sehr lecker; die nach einem Rezept vom Mama zubereitete Lasagne: ebenfalls sehr lecker ... und alles zu einem akzeptablen Preis; Fazit: empfehlenswert!
