Lovely atmosphere and amazing food., beautifully presented. Service was excellent. Our favorite meal In Copenhagen. Menu varies by seasonal availability of course so your selection may vary, but the tarte a l’oignon was so good. You can't go wrong. Location is close to the waterfront and the Gefion Fountain for a lovely after dinner stroll.
Absolutely fantastic sensory experience. Taste. Fragrance. Device. Wonderful. We chose The Chef's Choice and got six courses. Two starters in particular knocked the legs out from under us potato and peas and trout. We just had to close our eyes and surrender to an absolutely formidable experience. Special praise for making the entire menu lactose free without compromising on the dishes. It was incredibly nice for two lactose intolerant people. Lovely attentive and friendly waiters. However, we had to ask for more water ourselves after sitting with an empty carafe for a while, even though water was ad lib. In addition, water cost DKK 50 per person, which I think is embarrassing. For people who don't drink alcohol, the drinks are a bit limited. There was only one non alcoholic beer. An IPA and if you're not into that sort of thing, there was only juice and water to choose from. It was a bit lacking. We sat at small rectangular tables and you sit just close enough to the neighbours. It was a bit disturbing as it felt like dining out with four other guests. There is more privacy at the round tables. We would have liked to have sat there instead. Acoustics have been thought about, and compared to many other places where you have to shout at each other, it was a pleasure. But it was still not entirely easy to get an earful for a conversation. And it was difficult to hear what the waiters were saying when they presented the food. But all in all an unforgettable good experience. We would love to come again.
Very nice lunch where we had 5 dishes. Some were excellent but we were disappointed with the scallops as they were just one tiny overcooked scallop. Great service and I learned some new things about the wines we were drinking.
One of the most memorable tastes ever! It makes me want to downgrade all other restaurant reviews relative to The Pescatarian. What an experience! Must have the oysters, halibut, flounder, and the dessert. Exquisite.
