Astoria Veg Astoria - Kodaikānāl

Food was good, North Indian dishes were kinda ok, but South meals were too good. The Hotel will be usually crowded in the noon. Not sure if it will be crowded during weekdays as well, as we went during the weekends. The ambience is good, but irony is that they have no fans installed nor were the ACs turned in the noon, causing suffocation owing to the huge crowd. The waiters/servers and stewards are quite responsive and attend to the requirements immediately. All in all, a decent hotel with good food in the Hill station.

Its perhaps the finest choices that a traveller or stranger can opt for dining at the most beautiful city of kodaikanal. The restaurant has got a finest locations just opposite to bus stand. Exterior, inferior, furniture and fixtures are fine. Nothing more to say on food! In Short its EXCELLENT!

Decent place located inside the Astoria Hotel on ground floor. Best place for South Indian breakfast, reasonable prices and best taste with all hygiene standards being followed makes this a worth visit place in Kodai. It is quite spacious. Prompt service and quite pocket friendly. They also accept card payments. The best thing I liked about Astoria is the sheer efficiency with which they operate. Would recommend for freshly cooked breakfast.

Tasty amazing restaurant. Service and food are amazing. Expensive expensive. No parking but somehow you will manage to find an on road space. Or park in the front building space and 40 rupees is refunded by the restaurant. Worth the try. Always busy. Been there for a few decades. Clean and pleasant.

Visited their Vegetarian restaurant for lunch. The food was tasteless. Infact horrible. Sambar rice didn't taste like sambar in any angle. Curd rice was so mashed that it looked and tasted like baby food that was put in a mixie. The ambience is very old and interiors need urgent renovation. The staff is humble. The location is good. Not worth a repeat visit.
