Mcalister's Deli - Knoxville

The food was excellent, but the drinks were a disappointment. We ordered sweet tea with our meal, and it tasted stale and had no sugar. Personally, if I'm paying $2 for sweet tea, I expect it to be sweetened. Additionally, the dining area left much to be desired; the tables were sticky and clearly hadn't been cleaned, which raises concerns about sanitation. If I decide to order from here again, it will definitely be for takeout only.

Schaad Road... I ordered the Green Goddess salad last week and they forgot to include the avocado, which is one of its key ingredients. I had to go back to get a side of avocado, but they did give me a free lunch card as compensation. I redeemed my card today, and they forgot my cookie AND packaged my wet pickle with my hot French dip. I think I'm taking a break from McAlister's for now! The staff also seemed less than happy or courteous, especially considering it was free tea day.

I usually love this place and have been a regular customer for many years. However, today’s experience was a bit disappointing. As I was about to leave, I asked for a refill on my tea to take with me, and I needed to buy another as well. The employee was quite direct, indicating that I would need to go to the back of the line. While I understand that she didn’t want to interrupt another customer, I was ready to pay more than enough to cover the cost, and she could have rung it up after the line thinned out. In the end, I ended up going next door to Arby's to purchase my tea.

This is my husband's and my favorite spot in town for a hearty and satisfying meal. I had the chicken tortilla soup served in a bread bowl, and it was absolutely delicious!

Absolutely excellent! I really enjoyed the broccoli cheese soup, and their brownies are simply the best. The staff were wonderful, and the restaurant was spotless.
