John's Drive In - KITTY HAWK

Our experience wasn?t great. We ordered two milkshakes two cones. It wasn?t super busy, just a steady amount of customers? our milkshakes came out before the cones it then took 20 MIN (not exaggerating) to get the ice cream cones. Parking is definitely tight at this spot tricky (even when not super busy). For the quality of the service the taste of the ice cream, we were not impressed. ?

Good service. Very very fast even when busy. Parking is tight but real estate is at a premium here. When we came the owner was cooking. Generous portions for the price. Clean. Appreciate the giant milkshake straws. Milkshakes aren?t bad but they are basically vanilla with toppings as it says so the peach shake didn?t taste peachy but again that?s on me not the restaurant. It?s clearly labeled. Love this place.

Limited parking, very limited parking spaces. The Cheeseburger was the size of my palm, like, literally, the whole burger and bungalow was the size of my palm. When I got it, I had no idea what it was because it was so small. It only came with ketchup, mustard, diceed onions and pimples, but BARELY. I felt like eating a high school cafeteria burger. Oh, and I asked if I could order and pay for a shake now and then they did it AFTER I ended my meal, she said no, we are not ready to do it that way. HUNH? The only reason they have 2 stars is that the Pommes were good and plentiful. No bathroom, but they have an outside seat. It is literally a walk up, there is no inside.

Crab cake boat was top notch! Place was busy, large orders in front of us, still barely waited more than 4 minutes! Amazing!! I?m going to be missing these crab cakes until next year!! Triple cheeseburger did not disappoint either! Don?t be discouraged about parking, there?s always room!

What happened to what use to be GREAT Dolphin boats? I like a little more fish with my bad batter. Raise the cost don't cheapen the product.
