Clubhaus Tannenberg - Kiel

The restaurant Tannenberg is located a bit away in the so-called Tannenberger Gehölz, the small forest of Kiel-Tannenberg. It is also used at the same time by the settlers' association and the Schützenverein. Since February 2015 this restaurant building has a new pair. Since we knew the restaurant with another tenant from recent years, we were curious and visited this place on a Friday night. Since the restaurant opens only at 17:00 a.m. a week, this was very good. The parking lot of the building is not particularly large, but we have a parking lot without problems. On the side of the forest path you can also park well. We entered the building over a small terrace where you can sit outside in beautiful and warm weather. Now the guest is in an anteroom from which the toilets are included in the cellar. In the guest room we were welcomed very nice and attentive by a very nice service. Since there wasn't much going on tonight, we had free choice. We got a table on the window. We were asked if we were allowed to drink. We ordered each one a small Alsterwasser with 2.40 euros each. Then we freeze in the menu. The guest will find a good overview on the map from frying potatoes with sour meat and farm breakfast as well as various salads or meat dishes. On weekends or holidays you can also have breakfast or snacks. After a short time we picked up our order at the head of the house, as the service at the counter was busy with drinks for other guests. We ordered the pork steak with mushrooms, onions and roast potatoes for 10.80 euros and the peasant breakfast for 6.90 euros. So slowly the guest room filled with other guests. After a while, the boss personally brought us (he is probably also the cook) our ordered dishes. They looked very tasty and appetized while serving, so the water was already in the mouth when they looked. My peasant breakfast was delicious and garnished with a beautiful amount of hammock, a spice cucumber and some salad. The pig-back steak also tasted good, I was allowed to try. It was very well seasoned and the meat was also very tender. In the meantime we were asked if everything was to our satisfaction. That was very attentive. When we wanted to pay for the nice service, she also asked us if we were satisfied. There was nothing to complain about. It was a really good, cheap, bourgeois dinner. This address should be remembered, because where do you get such a good peasant breakfast in Kiel?! Before we went to the car, I visited the toilets again. These are located in the basement of the building and are only accessible by stairs. The toilet rooms themselves are quite tight, but clean. Finally, one should say that there is also a large festival hall where you can surely celebrate well. Party service and catering are offered here
