Taj Mahal restaurant served us delicious vegan dishes and truly understood what it means to eat vegan. We tried the mixed herbal curry, aloo gobi, dahl soup, naan bread, roti, samosas, and pakora - all of it was fantastic, especially the garlic naan bread. I do wish they had used fresh vegetables in the mixed herbal curry instead of frozen, but the taste and texture of the vegetables were still amazing. The owner was very friendly and open to learning about HappyCow, which he was unfamiliar with. He was interested in vegetarianism himself and assured us that all meals are cooked separately in the kitchen to prevent cross-contamination. I will definitely be back!
Although we love Thai food, it's always nice to switch things up and try a different type of Asian cuisine. Taj Mahal impressed us with their delicious vegan dishes and their understanding of vegan eating. We ordered a variety of dishes including mixed herbal curry, Aloo Gobi, Dahl soup, Naan bread, Roti, Samosas, and pakora. Everything was tasty, especially the garlic naan bread. My only wish is that they used fresh vegetables for the mixed vegetable curry instead of frozen ones, but the flavor and texture of the dish were still remarkable. The owner was very friendly and receptive when we introduced him to Happycow, a resource he wasn't familiar with before. He mentioned that he himself is a vegetarian and assured us that all vegetable dishes are prepared separately in the kitchen to prevent cross contamination. We will definitely be returning to Taj Mahal in the future.
