The Lone Fir - Kelso

Driving south on I-5 from Seattle to Portland, I took the time at a rest stop around Chehalis to scope out a good food and drink stop on my forthcoming travel. Numerous places at freeway exists presented themselves, but I opted for a minor adventure. Worth it! Lone Fir has great food (best BLT I've had other than the masterpieces I make at home). Plus, super friendly service and a memorable location (creek side) and building (all wood, all the time). No kids? Do go!

Took a detour off the highway for lunch at noon on a Friday. Despite showing as open, they were not. Travelers beware, this fruitless detour wasted 20 minutes of our day.

It kinda has a biker bar feel when you first walk in. The lady behind the bar greeted us and was super pleasant. The burgers were much better than I expected.

First time here. Wonderful adult atmosphere. Sat at the bar. Ordered. Friendly bar tender. The food is excellent. Salad was fresh. Meal in its self. Then the meal. I'll be back. Nice place.

Ok so how did I never notice this place in all the times I've come to camp in this area !? I know how they must of had a remodel as they say they been there 15 years and I definitely never looked that direction before . The bar and cafe was so cute and had lots on their menu . All the staff we encountered was friendly and attentive.The little store attached also had awesome gifts , but pre warning not a lot of beer so get that first then come look at the cute things lol they do have good selection of wine though and couple liquor bottles should you need any . I'd definitely be back here for either brunch or dinner .
