Smack DAB - Kelowna

Food was amazing. Husband has the Osso Buco and said is in the top 5 meals he has ever eaten. The pistachio baklava was dreamy! Already looking forward to our next meal here.

The food was average, and the menu was not impressive, but there were a few appetizing options. Our main concern was that my friend mentioned an allergy and was given a dish that contained that allergen. The manager graciously offered to comp my friend's meal, but they were out of the dish she wanted, so she had to choose something else. It was odd for them to be out of an item so early in the evening, at 5:30 pm. It took a long time to receive our bills. The view from the restaurant was stunning. The daily specials looked delicious, and I regret not ordering them.

The main course was decent, but the other dishes were of subpar quality considering the price of $95 per person for a set meal. The clam chowder was overly salty, making it impossible to take more than one bite. The fish fillet contained two large bones, and the beef was overcooked and dry, despite it being ordered at medium doneness. The broccolini, however, was excellent. It seemed like all the dishes had been sitting out for too long, possibly due to the restaurant being busy.

A lovely place with excellent service. The shellfish was exceptional and the waitress was attentive. Highly recommend the oysters and mussels. Desserts were fabulous.
