Lord Chumley's Fish and Chips - Kelowna

My wife and I have enjoyed visits here for several years. It is an above average fish and chip restaurant with a comfortable decor. The service has always been efficient, friendly, welcoming and personal. It has been our first choice for fish and chips in Kelowna.

Great food, great service I don't believe that many restaurants these days are inexpensive, not even the fast food ones

We had a very delicious meal of Halibut Fish and Chips. They were done in a delicate light batter to a light golden color. No over used oil here! The restaurant is exceptionally clean. The prices are a little below average. This is a no frills restaurant but neat and clean.

Thishas been a 'go to' for Fish and Chips. The quality of the food is excellent and the staff are very nice. They are expensive compared toothers; would be nice if they offered yam fries

We decided we would go to Lord Chumley's instead of C-Food Lovers should of went to C-Food Lovers! We were going to have the special of the day but they were sold out so we had the two piece cod meal. My wife found a black hair in her coleslaw and told the waitress she didn't seem to concerned and asked if she wanted more coleslaw she said no I said bring her another piece as the fish was on top of the coleslaw and you can comp her meal and I will pay for mine. Went to pay the waitress said she couldn't comped her meal and giving her a piece of fish was good enough! I said I wasn't happy and I wanted to talk to the owner. Had to call her the next day.I talked to the owner Tracy she said her staff told her what happen and said I wanted both meals comped and that giving my wife a piece of fish was good enough! I told her that I was willing to pay for mine meal and was not pleased with the service we went out of our way to come to her place and not to C-Food Lovers as we had not been there for awhile and had been there many times over the years she said that was basically our choice. I told her that we had a similar thing happen at Kelly O'bryans and they comped the meal and gave us $20 in gift certificates and she said " Good for them"! She was basically sounded pissed of at me and I told her we will NEVER be back there again!On to the food cod was small portions the size of playing cards and fries were greasy.Place needs updating same look for the last 20 yrs.
