Teshima's - Kealakekua

We were referred here by a local, for a breakfast suggestion. We love sushi and we were interested in trying the traditional Japanese breakfast we were told about (they serve American breakfast also). We loved it so much, we ate Japanese breakfast there every day of our vacation. We enjoyed the local vibe and low key atmosphere and appreciate that it has been handed down through the family for generations. We still talk about our experience there a year later, and can't wait to go back. We have heard their dinners are very good also, and may try that on a future trip.

Love the classic Japanese Restaurant feel, along with their Shrimp Tempura plate for dinner with hot tea, onolicious Tempura with dipping sauce, yummy pickled cucumbers, miso soup, cabbage, steaming rice, and a healthy serving size too! The Teshima Ohana have kept the authentic Japanese feel in tact, and serve with that beautiful aloha spirit that people know and love Hanahou for sure!

Fantastic food at reasonable prices! Great family place that makes you feel at home! Ono!

Simply one of the best Japanese restaurants in Hawaii, as well as the U.S. Old school, traditional, homey and family oriented spot. Their tempura shrimp is PERFECT! : Traditional Japanese comfort food heaven!!!
