We were seated around the back but that was probably because we had a toddler with us. The menu was both in Czech and English so we just picked a few things to share including the platter. We grabbed the Old Town platter since we wanted to try the pork hock. The food was quite nice and was very filling. The pork tenderloin was one of the more expensive and smaller dishes. It felt like a pub rather than a restaurant but the atmosphere was fairly casual.
Honestly, they have the best pork knee that I ever eaten! The staff is not so kindly but they do their job. The meat is delicious and cheap, even in a tourist zone, so I definitely recommend this place!
Traditional food in the touristic ground zero, but didn't feel like a rip-off. Very good portions, well made and presented food, charming décor. Checks all the boxes!
A recommendation from a tour guide. Very nice place with many options in the menu. I came for the classics from Prague and I didn't get disappointed. I started with the goulash served in bread and it was really nice, the combination was tasty and the presentation very cool. And then it came what I was looking for. The pork knuckle is huge! I thought I won't make it when I saw it but I hardly did it. The taste was out of this world, and it goes really well with mustard. A nice dinner. The service was ok but they took some time in getting my order and even when I asked for the bill. But that didn't change the way I saw the place. The prices were good also. Recommended!
I went to this restaurant through a recommendation by the local guide. He told me that the fried cheese was great. I tried it and it was pretty good. I also loved the tartar sauce alongside it. I tried the unfiltered beer which was amazing. The only downside was that the beer was 0.5l but half of it was foam so you get very little bear actually.
