The atmosphere is wonderful, resembling a family restaurant with quality food just like from a real Italian mom. The owner greeted us nicely at the entrance and led us to our table. I enjoyed a fantastic Bruschetta, a Minestrone soup which cost 90 CZK but I received a full bowl, enough for 2-3 people, and it was delicious. For the main course, I had Saltimbocca Alla Romana and a Tiramisu for dessert, both of which confirmed that the food here is truly cooked with love. Half a point deducted only for the awkward entrance where you have to pass through a café shop, but that's how it is in Italy.
The combination of slightly more expensive food, almost exclusively foreign clientele (mostly Italian), a homey environment, and an Italian owner who constantly checks on the restaurant, welcomes guests and clearly shows who is in charge here, brought back memories of Italy for me. The food was excellent, with a huge loaf of absolutely divine mozzarella in the Caprese appetizer, perfect saffron risotto and beef tenderloin on rocket with amazing fresh spinach. Overall, the food was great, portions were good too, I've had better Aperol Spritz and tiramisu, but even these were very good. My only complaint is the lack of a garden. The restaurant is large, but practically everything happens in the basement, which is a big advantage in this heat. However, I usually prefer fresh air and sunshine. So, overall a 4-star rating.
We were a group of 6 on a Saturday night. We entered and were amazed by good taste decoration and ambience. All employes are Italian(perhaps one of the girls not) the owner does not speak English but really funny person( seems to know a lot of people, has several photos with American actors). Also with Italian customers on site. Food really great , we had risotto and lasagna, with wine of the house, seems authentic Italian flavour. Next time i will go for pasta.
This is one of the best Italian restaurants in Prague, with every bite getting you closer to Italy. The very pleasant service will help you choose a delicious dinner. I highly recommend it.
Nenápadný vchod ukrývá velké prostory restaurace ve sklepě. Bohužel tam byla cítit plíseň. Jinak skvělé těstoviny, polévky i dezerty, měli jsme toho opravdu hodně. Rozhodně doporučuji, jen je to trochu dražší.
